An e-inaugural meeting was held on 23rd September 2018 for the project “Addressing WASH crisis among RMG workers in Narayanganj” at the conference room of Fakir Fashion Ltd. (FFL) in Rupganj, Narayanganj. Representatives from three renowned readymade garments factories such as FFL, NEXT Accessories and A1 Polar, including top management and officials concerned with compliance and environment were present. Officials from WaterAid Bangladesh (WAB) and officials from SAJIDA Foundation (SF) including the development program head were also present. The meeting was chaired by the CEO of FFL and program head of WAB was present as guest speaker. The meeting commenced with an ice breaking session where every participants introduced themselves. Followed by the introductory program, head of WAB and development program head of SF briefly described the portfolio and working areas of their respective organization.
With strong and dedicated service providing portfolio in WASH sector SAJIDA Foundation has partnered with WaterAid for addressing WASH crisis among Readymade Garments (RMG) workers. The project aims to proceed in a diagnostic manner to solve the crisis of water, sanitation and hygiene among the target beneficiaries in Araihazar and Rupganj upazillas of Narayanganj district.
