AMRAO MANUSH CHILDREN CELEBRATE UNIVERSAL CHILDREN’S DAY WITH RADIO SHADHIN

In observance of Universal Children’s Day on 20 November, children from SAJIDA’s Amrao Manush program went live on Radio Shadhin 92.4 FM where they had a fun and engaging conversation, retold inspirational stories of their lives, and answered questions from the audience.

Founded with an aim to give the marginalized a fair chance at life, SAJIDA’s Amrao Manush program – funded by Concern Worldwide, Irish Aid, Team Broken Earth, Adhunika, and a private donor organization among others – provides essential services such as day-care and non-formal education for children along with grants for income generation, health services, night shelter, cooking, bathing and other facilities for the extremely deprived and vulnerable urban poor through seven Pavement Dweller Centres (PDC) located in Dhaka and Chattogram under “Improving the Lives of Urban Extreme Poor” (ILUEP).
