AMRAO MANUSH CHILDREN VISIT SIR JOHN WILSON SCHOOL

As a part of SAJIDA’s awareness building initiative in different communities regarding the Amrao Manush Program for urban extreme poor, on 19th October, a half-day long workshop was held at Sir John Wilson School, Dhaka. A group of children from Amrao Manush program along with the students of Sir John Wilson School, participated in several extracurricular activities such as painting, crafting, sports etc.

Founded with an aim to give the marginalized a fair chance at life, the Amrao Manush program provides essential services such as day-care and non-formal education for children as well as grants for income generating activities, health services, night shelter, cooking, bathing and other facilities for the extremely deprived and vulnerable urban poor through seven Pavement Dweller Centres (PDC) located in Dhaka and Chittagong.
