On May 12, 2018, Citi Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Citigroup, in association with SAJIDA Foundation organized an award giving ceremony to recognize 14 extraordinary entrepreneurs who were awarded at the 13th Citi Micro-entrepreneurship Awards ceremony. It was organized at the Westin Hotel on Saturday. The awards recognized successful micro-entrepreneurs in different categories with prize money ranging from Tk 1 lakh to Tk 4.5 lakh. Mr Anisul Islam Mahmud, MP, Honourable Minister, Ministry of Environment and Forest, Government of Bangladesh, attended as Chief Guest. Other distinguished guests included Ms Rokia Afzal Rahman, Managing Director of Arlinks Limited and Acting Chairperson of the 13th CMA Advisory Committee; Mr N Rajashekaran, Managing Director and Country Officer of Citi Bangladesh; Ms Zahida Fizza Kabir, Executive Director of SAJIDA Foundation; Mr Abdul Awal, Executive Director of the CDF and Ms Parveen Mahmud, Managing Director, Grameen Telecom Trust.
