SAJIDA is committed to ensuring the all-inclusive wellbeing of all its members and has thus taken important steps in this direction through the implementation of its Safeguarding policies. Safeguarding means protecting children and adults from physical, mental and sexual abuse by identifying and preventing potential risks. Currently SAJIDA is working to ensure the safety of the Organization’s full-time, part-time and contractual staffs, alongside its beneficiaries, donors, volunteers, and Partner organizations’ staffs. With that goal and the objective to empower its change-makers to advance gender equity, SAJIDA commenced its first Safeguarding Orientation of the year on 19 and 20 January. 44 employees from different levels of SAJIDA Foundation participated in the orientation that was led by Barrister Sajeda Farisa Kabir & the Safeguarding Team. Consisting of 5 extraordinary members assigned to create the policies currently in action, the team designed an interactive session to be presented before the participants of the orientation to educate them on the Safeguarding initiatives of the organization. The Team, comprising of members from different departments of the organization to bring a holistic way of thinking to the table, includes Naila Zahan, Nusrat Jahan, Emran Hossain, Fahrita Ananna, & Jannatul Fatima Orni. SAJIDA Foundation is committed to safeguard all employees through dedicated efforts of the organization and the people to ensure health, happiness and dignity for all.
