SAJIDA Foundation, through the 16 Days of Activism, has taken a strong stand in its pledge to eliminate violence against women and girls. With activities creating awareness, educating the youth, and breaking the silence on abuse through an organization-wide initiative, SAJIDA aimed to eliminate violence of all kinds along with the stigma surrounding it. Similarly, SAJIDA’s Working with Women: Phase Two observed Gender Based Violence Campaign at N. R. Group in Narayanganj and Comfit Composite Knit Ltd. in Tangail with 100 RMG workers in December 2019. Project Manager Nusrat Jahan facilitated the Campaign through a presentation on Gender Based Violence to create awareness on the topic, followed by a quiz session and ending with the participants hand painting with a promise to prevent violence against women. Present at the session were Gautom Kumar Mallik, General Manager, Md. Afzal Hossain, Manager of N.R. Group and AKM Babul Akther, Assistant Manager of Comfit Composite Knit Ltd. in Tangail. The day ended with providing a gift of lunch bag for the participants from SAJIDA Foundation.
