Sir Fazle Hasan Abed, the Founder of BRAC and one of the world’s greatest luminaries, took his last breath on 2o December 2019, and reunited with his dear friend and SAJIDA’s Founder Syed Humayun Kabir. As we struggle to bear the immense loss of his passing, we were comforted by the knowledge that our dearest Sir Abed’s spirit is eternally immortalized in the very foundation of the country which he dedicated his life to protect and build, and the hearts of millions in which he will continue to live on forever. SAJIDA Foundation and its representative paid their final respects to Sir Fazle Hasan Abed on his funeral held at the Army Stadium on 21 December, accompanied by Ms Zahida Fizza Kabir. He was a second father to the SAJIDA family and we are all united in our grief and in our prayers for him and his family.
