SAJIDA Attends 4th Annual National Conference on Urban Resilience to Climate Change

Concern Worldwide organised a plenary session on why the leadership role of cities and towns are the key at building a resilient, inclusive and sustainable urban health system, at the Fourth Annual National Conference on Urban Resilience to Climate Change 2019 on October 22.

The session chaired by Mesbah Uddin Ahmed, Joint Secretary, Local Government Division, MoLGRD&C. A. K. M Musha, Country Director delivered the welcome speech as Zahida Fizza Kabir, Executive Director, SAJIDA Foundation, spoke as one of the guest speakers in the session.

Participants at the session all agreed that Concern and SAJIDA Foundation demonstrated a unique example of resilient health system in urban areas through their PROSHOMON program, and being a part of a broader government project supported by EU, there are future possibilities of scaling up to 14 municipalities to ensure implementation of SAJIDA values for an even larger number of people in need of more resilient health systems.
