On Monday, November 26, 2018 SAJIDA Foundation participated at the seminar on “End Gender-Based Violence in the World of Work” organized by SNV Netherlands Development Organization, at National Press Club. It was under “Working with Women: Phase-2” project as a part of their 16 days of activism campaign to end gender based violence. The campaign started observing “International day for the elimination of violence against women” (25-November) and came to an end observing “Human Rights Day” (10 December).
Ms Fartheeba Khan, Team Leader of the working with women project gave the welcome note and shared some success stories of working with women project. Dr. Annie Vestjens, First Secretary SRHR and Gender, Kingdom of Nederland was the Special Guest and Dr. Nazneen Akter, Assistant Professor (Adjunct), NSU was the Keynote Speaker.
SAJIDA Foundation believes in gender equality and works to stop all sorts of gender based violence at workplace. Under “Working with women” project SAJIDA conducts orientation sessions on gender based violence and mental health, support to form Sexual Harassment Elimination Committee (SHEC) and complain mechanism to SHEC at RMG sector with the support of SNV.
