The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at SAJIDA’s Keraniganj Hospital is the only such unit serving the community, initiated and led by Dr. Shaikh Zulfikar Ahmed, former Sr. Consultant, Pediatrics & Neonatology, SAJIDA Hospital. It is important for families and newborn children to receive a high level of specialized care and support during stressful and challenging times. Since its inception in 2015, the unit has treated nearly 3,800 newborn babies.
