WASH FOR RMG WORKERS

Textile factories in Bangladesh consume an average of 1,500 billion litres of groundwater a year on washing and dyeing fabrics. To preserve depleting groundwater, SAJIDA works with ready-made garment (RMG) workers to improve awareness and access of WASH services in their factories and homes.

Our Projects

WASH FOR RURAL PEOPLE

Recognising that 8 out of 10 people lacking basic drinking water services live in rural areas, SAJIDA launched a rural WASH programme to fill critical gaps in vulnerable villages. The project aims to intervene in three key areas of the community: providing piped water supply, improving WASH facilities in schools, and enhancing WASH facilities in healthcare settings.
