SAJIDA CREATES WASH AWARENESS TO BATTLE THREATS OF THE COVID-19 OUTBREAK

In light of the current Coronavirus pandemic, SAJIDA Foundation has taken various awareness and preventive measures for the wellbeing of communities, as well the people of the organisation.

On 16 March, SAJIDA’s WASH Program individually reached out to 4,000 RMG workers in a Narayanganj factory, installed wash basins along with proper hand washing steps to wash hands at the entrance for all incoming visitors, and distributed leaflets among workers to create awareness on Coronavirus. With a target to reach all 10,000 workers, SAJIDA Foundation has been working endlessly to educate communities on Covid-19 and ensure proper preventive measures are being taken.

WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene), in partnership with donors and the Government of Bangladesh, works to provide integrated water, sanitation, and hygiene services. Through several innovative projects in collaboration with partners, SAJIDA Foundation has been working for the urban poor communities where WASH related diseases abound to provide the basic right to health, happiness and dignity.
